We are an Active Member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents (NAEA) in the United States. Our professional staff are Enrolled Agents, the only federally-licensed tax practitioners who both specialize in taxation and have unlimited rights to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service; each professional staff is required to undergo a minimum of 30 hours of Continuing Professional Education every year in tax compliance, tax planning, accounting, and other related subject matters, to enhance professional proficiency in taxation and stay abreast of the latest developments.
Executive Profile
Jensen Leung, our founder and Managing Director, brings decades of international experience in international tax and global mobility since 1996 from working in the United States, United Arab Emirates, China, Singapore, and Hong Kong. During his career in tax consulting with Big 4 accounting firms for 11 years and, subsequently, leadership roles in global mobility with some of the best known Fortune Global 500 companies, he has developed and implemented strategically-aligned mobility programs, structured cross-border corporate transactions and tax-efficient compensation packages, managed expatriate tax advisory, tax compliance, as well as international payroll, contributed to various greenfield and M&A projects, and supported countless mobile employees and senior executives. He has proven successes in using this unique mix of professional and personal experience to his clients’ advantage.
Prior to founding American Expatriate Tax and Contexo Mobility, Jensen was the Global Head of Mobility, Executive Director, of Nomura and was responsible for formulating and executing mobility strategies that support the global investment bank of Japan’s largest securities firm with international expansion. He had also held regional mobility leadership positions with Barclays, BP, as well as Flextronics and led a number of flagship engagements when he was with Big 4 accounting firms.
Jensen has a BBA in Organizational Behavior & Management from the University of Houston and has been an Enrolled Agent, licensed to practice before the Internal Revenue Service, since 1999. He also contributes actively to the development of expatriate tax and global mobility professionals. He has been speakers at regional and national conferences held by the American Payroll Association, Deloitte, and Forum for Expatriate Management. He served on the committees of Worldwide ERC in Asia Pacific as well as the Forum for Expatriate Management’s Hong Kong Chapter and was on Deloitte Hong Kong’s Client Advisory Board. In addition, he is an All-Star contributor to Intuit's Tax Pro Community and has been quoted in various industry publications.
